Assistant Project Manager / Estimator

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

• Assist in estimating, project management, site supervision, project implementation, and various other assignments.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Estimating
• Assist with researching projects to bid and plan acquisition.
• Assist estimators with plan takeoff and specification review.
• Contact suppliers and subcontractors for pricing on project specifics.
• Assist in preparing estimates for jobs as assigned.
• Assist with follow-up on projects bid to determine award status.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Project Management
• Assist with contract and scope of work review.
• Assist project manager with required project setup including submittals, schedule of values, and documentation.
• Assist project manager and coordinate with field personnel regarding quantity review and as built measurements.
• Assist project manager with contractual documents including RFI’s, pay applications, change orders, and job documentation.
• Assist with project closeout documentation including finalizing quantities, pay applications, change order review, as-built drawings, and related information.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Field Engineering
• Coordinate with General Superintendents and field personnel for on-site material and equipment requirements.
• Assist on-site personnel with layout and surveying.
• Assist with job site documentation including meeting minutes, field quantities, field change orders, as-built documentation, and related information.
• Assist field personnel with job tasks.
• Assist with quality control on projects.
